Cahill Design Consultants is an established and innovative consultancy providing acoustic and fire engineering services to a wide range of projects, across all sectors, within the built environment.

To complement these existing services, we are looking to recruit Senior and Principal Fire Engineers to join our growing team.

The business operates from a head office in Colchester, Essex, with an additional office in Shoreditch, London.

Incorporated in 2014, the business works across all sectors and has a wide client list, throughout the UK and Internationally.

Cahill Design Consultants is looking to recruit Senior and Principal Fire Engineers to assist with growing the fire team within the business. We are looking for ambitious individuals who can help to grow and shape our Fire Engineering business.

The Role:

This role has excellent prospects for an individual who is ambitious to progress and enjoys working within a vibrant, collaborative team. The role is to integrate and develop within the existing Fire team here at CDC.
Based within our Colchester office, you will have the opportunity to work with our wide range of fantastic Clients and projects.

The Responsibilities:

  • You will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in delivering Fire Engineering support to a wide range of building related projects.
  • You will be able to demonstrate excellent technical skills coupled with Client management experience.
  • You will assist and manage the Fire Engineering input to our project portfolio.
  • You will attend design team meetings and advise design teams on issues relating to Fire Engineering.
  • A good working knowledge of UK Standards and Guidelines is essential.
  • A working knowledge of NFPA would be beneficial, but not essential.
  • Experience of using CFD modelling software would also be beneficial.
  • Being able to write concise technically sound reports is essential and experience in the preparation of bids is beneficial.
