Contracted by Meinhardt UK, on behalf of their Client Weston Homes, Cahill Design Consultants provided Acoustic consultancy support to this large scale mixed use residential development located in central Barking.
Cahill Design Consultants was contracted to RIBA Stages 2 to 4, including planning and design support.
Comprising a total of 13 medium and high rise buildings, arranged over five blocks, the development incorporates a number of residential units to the upper floors and mixed use at lower floors, including a proposed gymnastics training gym.
Located in central Barking, the site is exposed to relatively high levels of road traffic noise, therefore, extensive noise modelling was undertaken to ensure that the acoustic facade specifications were able to control environmental noise to internal accommodation areas.
