Employee Insight – Regulated & Licensed Premises Course

22 Jun 23

Two of our Graduate Fire Engineers, Abdullah and Jake, are currently taking a Level 4 Fire Safety Series through XACT.

Abdullah most recently completed the Regulated and Licensed Premises Course. This part of the series covers safety measures for open-air events, firework displays, pop concerts, sports grounds, crowd safety, Places of Assembly, Theatres and cinemas, and Homes in Multiple Occupation.

Throughout the course, Abdullah used various guides such as Safety at Sports Grounds (Green Guide), Event Safety Guide (Purple Guide), LACORS Housing Fire Safety Guide, and a variety of DCLG Fire Risk Assessment Guides. They may also require guidance documents such as BS 9999, BS 9991 and ADB.

Personally, I have not previously worked on open-air events, firework displays, pop concerts, sports grounds, crowd safety, and their guidelines such as Sports Grounds (Green Guide), Event Safety Guide (Purple Guide) and a variety of DCLG Fire Risk Assessment Guides, which I found very interesting.
