Congratulations to Marlborough Sports Garden! The project won The Golden Pineapple in the Future Place: Public Realm category for 2022!

Launched in 2019 by The Developer in partnership with Design Council, The Pineapples awards seek to celebrate great places. In short, they celebrate places that thrive, where people want to live, work, play, shop or learn.

Marlborough Sports Garden is a rare outdoor space providing much-needed access to physical activity, sport, and leisure pursuits. Marlborough Sports Garden is a unique place in the local area – a large sports facility that’s free to access and which offers a wide range of sports activities and events at low cost, or for free.

This project continues to focus on the local public health agenda, and the move to mitigate against childhood obesity and inactivity.
